hydrangeas

Good morning! Some flowers for you... What are your thoughts on this as a new card? Would it benefit from some of my usual black pen sketching or does it stand up with just paint? and perhaps with a name atop it?

Wow. They’re beautiful! I love your style of drawing, and especially your watercolor. They’re so pretty because they’re so loose and simple. I love that the main detail in this is provided simply by the colors.

This is lovely, tranquil and so subtle. I really like it. I think that with a little change to the flower pot, it would also make a great card stock for wedding invitations or thank you notes. And I think lilac and peonies in this style would also be lovely as cards or prints!

I wish they were in blue and just a bit fuller. I always think of hydrangeas as an explosion.
But still lovely.

That is beautiful! As for your question, I think that adding the pen accent would make it visually more distinct from the background. You do really lovely work.

I love peonies!
I thought the same thing about the white hydrangeas being perfect for bridal thank you notes or invitations.
