Don't you just think Santa baby is playing on repeat in her head all the time? I can't believe this little minx is the last girl of 2013. Time to change the calendar and ring in the holidays!
Time to flip the calendar to November. I can't believe how fast 2013 flew by!
I love this November girl. I think she looks wistful. Or challenging. Maybe both. Isn't that what November is all about? The tension between darkness and light. The clocks set back but the christmas bulbs fire up in anticipation of December. This month is always a little melancholy as the year winds down, but with an undercurrent of frenzy as we approach the craziest month of the year.
Time to change the calendar again! And this month is brought to you by my love of J.Crew!
October girl is so fall cozy with her layered fall patterns and textures and obedient doxie, I need to catch up with her. I'm still in my warm weather wardrobe - trying to wear the darkest colored of my summer clothes for a little longer. Maybe this weekend I'll take the plunge.
Happy August - a day late! Time to hop on that rusty old beach bike and head into town for some fresh cut sunflowers and soak up what's left of summer this weekend.
August for me is always a time of scrambling to squeeze in as much lemonade and sunshine and white shorts as I possibly can before "school" starts. And by school, I mean, the universal mindset that life starts over again in September.
I can't believe it's calendar changing day yet again. I barely had a chance to get to know June! This summer is flying by. July is here, rocking one of my favorite combinations - sweaters and bikinis. So illogical to pair these two together, and yet so chic.
Happy May 1st! I celebrated this morning by waking up at the crack of dawn to take part in a NYC ritual bonding experience lovingly known as SOUL.
Yes, I went to soul cycle. I paid almost $200 for a five class membership, spent 2 days on a waitlist to get on a bike for this morning's class and laid out my soul outfit last night like a school kid....
And now I understand what everyone has this fiendish glint in their eye about - it really is addictive. It is SO clean, SO happy, SO LOUD. When you're in that little cave of insane pedaling you no longer know that it's seven am and that you have to pay your rent today, you are on an endorphin super highway of cultish exuberance.
At one point Beyonce was sing-screaming at me that I was a sweet dream/a beautiful nightmare and the instructor was simultaneously yelling at us "YOU ARE HEALTHY YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!"
I mean... they had me at hello.
So here's to a wildly enthusiastic May, get excited for Spring! I think the May girl is particularly appropriate as she looks kind of bridal. May is going to be the wedding month next year so I think it worked out rather well.
