One of the longest-standing pieces in my studio is a color chart I painted as my first assignment in my first art class in college. Almost everyone who comes through my studio remarks on it and some have wanted to buy it. But I'll never sell it. So I figured it was time to make a new one. An even bigger one, and one that is a little more playful. My painting teacher would probably cringe because this definitely not in the right order. But you know what, rainbows are mysterious things. Sometimes naples yellow comes after permanent yellow, not before.
