Session 1: drawing Oscar de la Renta and sampling Rosé
Come to my Spring Street Studio to discover your new favorite rosé with hostess-extraordinaire Roxy Owens to learn how to master my fashion illustration techniques. I will cover the basic premises of my techniques and the materials I use. And get excited... it's Oscar night with a live model! Yes, our model will pose, wearing pieces from Oscar de la Renta, while we create both quick gesture drawings and a longer, more finished piece.
Roxy will lead you through a selection of rosé wines, teaching you how to find your favorite. She’ll demo her perfectly stocked and styled barcart for the wine enthusiast. By the time you leave you’ll be a true renaissance woman, fluent in the languages of both art and wine.
When: February 18th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Where: 73 Spring Street, #401, New York, New York (Cross streets are Crosby and Lafayette)
What’s required: Please arrive a few minutes prior to 6:30 to make sure you’re all set up and ready to get started. Bring a preferred writing utensil and paper for quick sketches. (this can just be a pencil and printer paper, don't get fancy!)
What’s provided: I will provide my materials for you to experiment with for the long pose. You'll each take home your own composition on professional grade cotton watercolor paper. And don't forget, there will be rosé!
Cancellation policy: If you are unable to attend, you may cancel and be refunded up to 24 hours before the class.
